All performers in the orchestra are volunteers. If you play an instrument, whether you’re a music teacher, a hobbyist, an experienced teenager (age 16+), or someone who hasn’t had a chance to play in years, please consider joining us!
Currently, we especially need musicians who play the following instruments:
- Viola
- Bass
- Bassoon
- French Horn
- Trumpet
- Trombone
- Tuba
- Percussion
Additional violin and cello players are always welcome as well.
There are no formal auditions. Instead, we ask new members to come sit in on a rehearsal and decide if they feel comfortable learning the music. Bring your instrument and a music stand.
Rehearsals take place weekly on Tuesday nights, 7:00 pm–9:00 pm at the Salem Community Center. Address: 151 W 300 S, Salem UT 84653.
Rehearsals for the fall of 2021 begin August 24th. Consult the members’ calendar for schedule updates.
